I Love Music (it’s the only thing that keeps me sane)

I’m starting a new feature to let people know a little about me. I grew up around music. My father taught himself to play piano and I tried to play guitar (no discipline). Nevertheless, he loved jazz and would play everyday. I hated it with a passion, but I knew every jazz artist that played piano, horn, drums, guitar, bass and percussion (I really didn’t have a choice).

In time, I grew to love it along with other genre’s of music. So every week, I’ll highlight a favorite song with a video and hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I do.

In honor of my father, I’ll start you off with one of his favorite artist and one of my favorite songs, Erroll Garner playing “Misty“.

  1. I’ve never gotten into jazz, but my husband played for a few years in jazz band in junior high and high school and still plays it a bit. I’m good with it, but I don’t seek it out. It’s great to get to know you better! Awesome idea!
